Postgraduate study is an increasingly popular option for many graduates. Approximately 30 per cent of graduates go on to further study, whether part-time or full-time, research or coursework. MedicineMedicine is one of a handful of fields which are very well-established, have small numbers of courses and students and are dominated by members of an enclosed profession with well defined career paths. While there have typically been few opportunities for graduates of other disciplines, a number of institutions have introduced graduate-entry bachelor degrees recently.
