AGCAS Biennial Conference 2007
Cindy was delighted to attend the AGCAS Biennial Conference held at the University of Birmingham in early September, which also celebrated 40 years of ACGAS operation. The conference was a great success, with:
- an excellent program
- lots of exhibitors and sponsors
- a lively introductory presentation (repeated later in the week by popular demand)
- excellent keynote speakers
- a vast range of excellent workshops
- a new International Forum for all participants
- an AGCAS Achievements session
- a record number of AGCAS Award winners
- the launch of the AGCAS history publication
- showings of the latest AGCAS DVD
- a successful reunion of AGCAS Alumni and an excellent conference dinner in a fantastic setting, complete with surprise guest appearance by (aka Vice-Chancellor Roy Gutteridge) Chris Phillips.
Cindy presented a workshop on the Australian Virtual Careers Fair, and enjoyed a lively discussion with workshop participants about the Fair and similar events conducted in the UK.
