National Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (NAGCAS)

The National Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (NAGCAS (Aust.) Inc. is the professional association for the staff of Careers Services in Higher Education. Careers Services are the first point of contact for students and recent graduates who are seeking careers information and advice on graduate employment.

The NAGCAS Mission

Connect: Employers to career services, career services to each other, career services to national and international research and trends

Support: Graduate Career Practitioners to achieve the highest standards in their profession. Facilitate professional development opportunities, links, shared expertise, networks and resources  

Advocate: Actively voice the unique perspective that NAGCAS affords to the betterment of issues associated with graduate careers to the government, industry and media.

The goals of NAGCAS are:

1. For Graduate Career Practitioners to achieve the highest standards of professional excellence
    
   
2. To be the voice of Graduate Career issues in the political and industry arenas
    
   
3. For NAGCAS’s perspective to be sought and advice heeded by government and industry bodies
    
   
4. To be the gateway through which to access careers services and related information

As well as regular meetings and events, NAGCAS holds a major annual conference with top Australian and international speakers. The conference is accessible to anyone with a professional interest in careers education and graduate employment.
