SEOA Incorporated

The Student Employment Officers Association (SEOA) was recently incorporated, and the following contains extracts from the press release for this event:

With over fifty members nationally from Universities and TAFE Colleges, and representing many thousands of students nationally, the Student Employment Officers Association (SEOA) Victoria became incorporated in late June 2002 at its annual conference and AGM at La Trobe University, Beechworth, Victoria.

The aims of the group continue to be to promote the employment of tertiary students throughout Australia, to give a unified voice to the issues surrounding student employment and to bring them to the attention of relevant parties. The organisation also aims to provide a forum for the sharing of information, resources and for the professional development of members.

The SEOA website is currently being developed to display the full range of members and their services. In the interim, employers and householders wishing to employ students should contact their local University or TAFE Employment Service.
