NZUniCareerHub - One Stop Shop for Students, Graduates and Employers

Seven NZ university Career Services have banded together to provide New Zealand’s largest student and graduate employment network – NZUniCareerHub.

The universities (Auckland, AUT, Massey, Victoria University of Wellington, Canterbury, Lincoln and Otago) have been working closely over the past year to facilitate the links between institutions, their students and graduates and the business community.

With a quick click of the mouse, employers can advertise their graduate vacancies, internships, holiday work, research projects and contract positions to over 200,000 students and recent graduates at seven of the eight NZ universities.

NZUniCareerHub is a service offered by staff who know university graduates and understand graduate recruitment. More than just a job vacancy website, the ‘hub’ makes it easy for students to reserve places in career workshops, seminars and employer presentations scheduled throughout the year. It makes the career exploration and job seeking experience customised, fast and fun with access to career articles, self assessment tools, jobsearch advice and links to a range of valuable career resources. Students and graduates get quick and easy access to information on Careers Fairs and graduate recruitment programs.

By using the NZUniCareerHub service, graduate employers will be working with people who can efficiently and effectively promote their opportunities to students and graduates on campus. A simple online template allows employers to submit job details or career events. Once this is done it is distributed automatically to either all or selected Career Services within the participating universities. Services to graduate employers include:

• adding vacancies directly to the site
• viewing the history of all previous vacancies that the organisation has listed on the site
• maintaining up to date contact details and placement of the organisation in the appropriate employment category
• listing of primary contact people that deal with graduate recruitment
• advertising of employment-related events.
