Welcome to the Graduate Opportunities Team!

Jane Castles & Liz Chase joined GCA in mid-February to form our new team designed to take Graduate Opportunities, Australasia’s premier graduate recruitment guide, well into 2007 and beyond.

Jane’s role will be primarily to pull all the strings (or ensure all strings are pulled!) to produce GCA’s flagship publication. Jane will work to ensure Graduate Opportunities maintains its reputation as the premier graduate recruitment directory and evolves to meet the demands of an ever-changing sector. Thus, expect her to be living, breathing and dreaming Graduate Opportunities!

Liz’s role at GCA will be handling the sales and marketing for Graduate Opportunities. So for anyone out there who wants to become part of the Graduate Opportunities experience, she’s the one to call!

Now to properly introduce you to our Graduate Opportunities team, here are Jane Castles & Liz Chase.

Jane Castles

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Philosophy) from The University of Sydney, Jane fell into journalism and has clocked up more than 10 years working in print media, publishing and public relations. Most recently she has had a role within the health sector. Having worked for several universities and academic institutions, she is quite familiar with the world of tertiary education and is glad to be back in its orbit.

Jane has only recently moved to Melbourne – from Canberra in September last year – and is thoroughly enjoying cultured Melbourne. She wishes the same could be said for her cat, Ishmael, but alas he is finding the cats of Carlton North are taking a while to welcome him into the neighbourhood. Jane’s interests are reading, film, walking, sculpture and travel (or dreaming of it). Being a bit of a news and current affairs junkie, she can be regularly spotted buried in the weekend papers enjoying some of Melbourne’s world renowned coffee.

Liz Chase

Liz brings with her over 15 years’ experience in sales and management. Previous roles have included business management of a service which specialised in OH&S risk management, sales account management in hygiene services and also a stint managing a fitness centre. She also has experience in credit management.

Liz hails from country Victoria and has a doctorate in milking cows and feeding out hay. She spent university breaks (while studying Science and Nutrition) riding on tractors which has endowed her with a love of fast cars and speeding tickets.

She lives in the leafy outer suburbs of Melbourne and enjoys cycling, meditation and beaches and has planned to do some gardening one day.
