Areas for examination include:

  • WiL
  • cross-sector and cross-industry liaisons
  • case studies on innovative practices.

Theme 2: Graduate Recruitment - Beyond the Traditional

In days of greater competition for graduate talent and an increasingly diverse student population, this theme will examine traditional and non-traditional ways of identifying and harnessing new talent sources from the graduate communities and the challenges of maximising the potential of technology. Areas for examination include:

  • tools and tips to attract talent
  • tapping social networking spaces
  • the potential of non-traditional cohorts.

Theme 3: Developing Workforce Capabilities

With an increasingly complex environment, skill shortages facing many industries and a highly mobile work force, both universities and employers need to ensure that future work force needs are being met across both the short- and long-term planning horizons. Areas for examination include:

  • addressing skills shortages
  • national issues - environmental, social and culturald
  • developing leaders - pre- and post-graduation, and within your own teams
  • developing you.
